Basic Course

Teaching Hebrew from the very beginning is an especially challenging task, and just as the strength of a building depends on the quality of its foundations, language too requires a solid base.

The Ulpanet team, comprised of experienced Ministry of Education certified Hebrew teachers, has developed a unique teaching strategy.  Ulpanet allows beginners or those who had only recently been exposed to Hebrew, an easy, gradual acquaintance with the Hebrew alphabet and grammar.

The course is interactive and enjoyable and includes short film clips, sounds, games, puzzles and quizzes, all developed on the basis of years of experience in education and support in enhancing written, comprehension and speaking skills.

We are aware of the fact that a new language requires not only intensive study but also a different kind of thinking.  Ulpanet students are taught easy ways to adopt the language rules, including the Hebrew distinction between male and female, in addition to written proficiency and pronunciation.

Upon completion of the basic course, student’s have a vocabulary of approximately 500 words, which they will be able to read, write and pronounce accurately.   In addition, students will learn useful sentences for every-day encounters such as; shopping, travel, meetings, requests for information etc.  With these foundations students acquire not only language skills but also the confidence required to speak the new language.
We recommend that our students begin with the basic course. They will have the possibility of switching into the intermediate course within the first 12 hours without additional charge.

24 Hours a Day

At Ulpanet students don’t need to adapt themselves to courses, the course will adapt itself to them, with the virtual teacher at their disposal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the 8 month the course.  All one needs is a computer (a Hebrew keyboard isn’t required; we will provide a virtual one).  Those who need extra support may purchase the CD or MP set which include exercises from the course and an additional work book.
In addition to acquiring Hebrew language skills students are introduced to Israel's landscapes and cities, take virtual tours in museums and galleries and listen to Israeli songs.   The material is further enriched with passages from the Bible.

The courses are offered in English, French, Russian, Spanish and Arabic.

All courses are currently being offered at a rate of 180 USD for the entire eight month course.
